"Stack rack with connect bar is normal stack rack composed of base and posts adding connect bars between posts. The connect bar can be round steel tube, square steel tube, or angle steel. We don't recommend solid round steel as connect bar, since solid round steel is expensive and useless, it is soft in length, can't keep the posts firmly, from client's feedback.
Why do we need to add connect bar to stack rack? Because there is gap between inner foot and external post, around 3mm. So the post is not straight up in foot, it is leaning inner foot by a little angle. The higher posts are, the further the distance between tops of posts will be. It will be hard for operator to place another stack rack base on tops of posts when the distance is too far. And since there is gap between inner foot and external post, when the racks are stacked up 4-5 levels, it will shake easily when touched. Connect bar will reduce the shaking effect.
Besides, stack rack with connect bar can also help goods from sliding and falling from base. In the same time, when stack rack is folded type, the connect bar can prevent posts from closing when you don't want them to be.
To sum up, when rack is longer than 1800mm, higher than 1800mm, take weight more that 2000kg, we suggest to use stack rack with connect bar."
